No longer the blog virgin

So, all my friends are doing it...I thought I'd give it a try. Actually, I doubt very much that I have anything to write that is truly worthy of taking up any WWW space, but what the hey. And I've always been bad at keeping diaries. I start them, write like mad for, oh, three days, and then it is back in some random box of crap in my office. Ahh, but maybe this time it will be different. (My Minnesotan optimism is kicking in again.) And the idea that there may be someone out there who will now begin to postpone homework and important email correspondances every day just to check up on me and my life's events is kind of self-gratifying. Ach, who am I kidding?

Note: I start a lot of sentences with "And". I teach college composition. Ha.
