Purging...

...and I don't mean the Lindsay Lohan kind. You can tell that by looking at my ass these days. But I have definitely felt the need to purge lately. Afterall, I did just purge the one thing that had been steering my life for the past months. And I've been looking forward to graduating, really graduating. Going to the ceremony and everything. At first I signed up just to appease my dad. He wanted to see me walk, so I planned to walk. But now I'm thinking about how it will truly be a purging ceremony for me. I didn't get a thesis reading. And my defense was anti-climatic, just one more thing to do in between watching TiVoed Oprah and making dinner. Not to mention so many of the people I love will be sitting beside me.

And I've had this insane desire to clean lately. To dust and sweep and vacuum. To make the bed every day (except the past couple, but I've been the only one in it and it hasn't seemed to matter so much). It goes beyond this. I've taken everything out of my kitchen cupboards, determining what needed to be kept and what could be tossed. I've wiped down fridge shelves and even gone through old make up and mini shampoo bottles.
