Damn Radio Playlist
Really, how do they know? And why are they catering to my desperation?
This morning, in a row, lyrics like:
"Everybody knows I'm in over my head, over my head."
"Life goes on long after the thrill of living is gone."
"Even walls fall down."
I used to have a mixed tape of depressing songs I could listen to when I felt, you know, depressed. Not the best way to kick a bad mood, but wallowing in it made me feel better. Sort of. The Tom Petty song was on it. And Sheryl Crow: "If it makes you happy, then why the hell are you so sad?" And others I don't remember. Maybe some Cranberries.
I wish I had that tape now. And a tape player.

You can borrow both of my Cranberries CDs! As for myself, I've been wallowing in Fiona Apple land since Monday. I'm with ya kid.
Oh, I always like that one late on the CD (Fiona's first one)--11 or something?
I put that on repeat too many times in high school.
Hmm. Now I'm going to have to search for my Fiona CD.
