Things Only Heard in MN Restaurants
1. "I don't want sauce on my wings. I'll just use ketchup."
2. "That ketchup is just flying out the door today."
3. "This mild sauce is really spicy."
4. "Uff da, that's got some kick to it."
5. "Dessert? You betcha."
6. "I've pooped more money than this."
Ok, so I said that last one. Then I found a ten dollar bill amidst the ones and squealed a little.
Also, it takes an ungodly time for my printer to print out 28 pages. Twenty-eight pages, you say? Sounds like someone finished revising their intro and review of lit. (Yes, I am aware this is about the third time I've declared this. I'm pretty sure this will be the last time, though. On to the first of the body chapters.)
I made a schedule for myself this week. Every hour of my day is planned out with things like "Career work," "Thesis," "Exercise," and "Errands." By "Career work" I mean looking for jobs, sending out resumes, working on ideas for my customized training course I'm supposed to teach in two weeks. "Thesis" covered most hours I wasn't at work, and "Exercise" continued to be skipped (though I've been trying to consciously flex my butt while sitting at the computer. Does that count?) It seems to be working out. I need accountability or too much time is spent wandering through my house, watching too much HGTV, avoiding what needs to be done. If only next week's schedule included things like "Trip to the spa," "full body massage from hot guy," "fly to Hawaii," "drink lots of pink champagne" and not "be a corporate bitch" and "read through new rejection letters."
